good morning, bob. >> reporter: good morning, laura. they have three blocks roughly of southbound monterrey shut down. they could be shut down for the next couple of hours. southbound monterrey starting at stouffer to the opening of the plant shopping center which is about a block away from kurtner and tully. it is because of this fatal car accident involving a single driver. took place around 2:00 this morning. san jose police are still out here. they are doing their part in investigation. so far, they believe this is what's happening. this driver around 2:00 this morning was speeding, lost control, went off the road. clipped two trees and sheered a light pole and ended up in the mess of the car in the bushes in front of el pollo loco which is at the plant shopping center. it was an officer who happened to be at another traffic stop who heard the crash, came here, was the first on the scene. the paramedics arrived a little bit later and declared the driver dead on arrival. he is still stuck in the car waiting for the coroner to come he
